Western Slavic sheath
Copy of sheath from village of Usadel, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany, 9-10th cent. The sheath is made of vegetable tanned leather with brass fittings and silver rivets provided by customer; a leather strap to hang the knife on a belt. Additionally the handle has been supplied with a leather plait to help with pulling the knife out of a sheath. The knife has been provided by customer.
